What a great breakfast place! I came here with visiting out of town relatives, and we all enjoyed our breakfasts. It's classic diner food, well prepared and for good prices. Coffee is decent, too.
Service fast and friendly, and the vibe down-home and friendly. The drawings on the walls (from kids and kids at heart) are an especially nice touch. -

I've been to West Side a few times for breakfast and I really enjoy it there. It reminds me of a place in Waterloo that I used to go to back in University. This place, is the UWO equivalent. On the walls they display the artwork of the patrons who get creative with the placemats and crayons. There's some good ones up there!
The breakfast is really good here. The bacon is perfectly cooked, my eggs were over-medium perfection, and they burnt my dads toast just like he wanted. I cant believe I ate the whole meal including the toast! My mom had the rice pudding for dessert but they warmed it up a bit too much so it was soupy. She enjoyed it either way.
If you want an easy place to go for breakfast, that has your typical choices, and mom-and-pop diner feel, head to West Side. It's very affordable and quite yummy! -

Love this place! Best breakfast in town, lunch is quick, delicious and has a good selection, eggs Benedict are my favorite here, not too heavy just delicious! My favorite for lunch is the club sandwich.l, their salads are great too. The staff is very friendly too!

Went in after getting my dogs hair cut and was displeased by the service. I speak only from my bad experience but you get what you pay for. You want mediocre food for a mediocre price, try it out.

For a quick diner breakfast, West Side is a safe bet. The menu features the kinds of breakfast/brunch things you'd expect from a diner. Service is friendly and fast. Food is not spectacular, but for the price what do you expect? If you want a little nicer, head up to Ritchies. If you want fancy, go to Cora's. If you want it right away, go to West Side.
If there's a minus to this place, it's that it's a bit on the grungy side. The dining area looks like it hasn't been painted in years, and the bathrooms are pretty miserable.
